“… her mom often talked about her time in as a military photographer and kept fond memories of it.”
“… sa mère avait de bons souvenirs de son temps comme photographe militaire et elle en parlait souvent.”
In 2009, Jim Wright, Course # 1948-08 approached the Milƒoto Organizing Committee and proposed that a short video be made to commemorate our members that had passed away since the last Reunion. The committee agreed and Jim and Jean-François Néron, Course # 2004-02 worked on this project together and produced a short video that brought tears to everyone who saw it. When looking for a title for this short video, Anna Beale,Course # 1980-01 suggested “The Last Frame” as in the last frame of a roll of film. It was accepted and used.
In 2015, shortly after the first mailing inviting everyone to the Reunion, we received a letter from Norma Stiles daughter of Barbara Stiles, Course # 1943-33. She informed us that her mother had passed away on 08 November 2011. She communicated that her mom often talked about her time in as a military photographer and kept fond memories of it. Norma included a cheque with her letter inviting us to use the money towards the Reunion.
The committee decided to use that money to produce a “Book of Remembrance” with the names of the deceased members listed in our database.
